Homemade Mayonnaise

1 cup olive oil*
1 egg
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion
1/4 tsp garlic

Add egg, vinegar, and mustard to blender and turn on while continuously drizzling olive oil SLOWLY. The first time I tried I should’ve had more patience and I ended up wasting an entire cup of oil! It will start to thicken and should take 5 to 10 minutes to pour all of the oil in. You can add the seasonings to taste, these happen to be ones I have found to taste best. Refrigerate for up to one week. It gets better after it has cooled completely.

*virgin olive oil can have too strong a flavor for mayonnaise so you may want to stick to regular olive oil.
