Crockpot BBQ Ribs

3 oz tomato sauce
7 dates
4 oz water
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
3 Tbsp oil or bacon grease
1/2 onion
tsp pepper
tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp hickory salt
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp fennel
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp ginger
Dash allspice

Take the pits out of the dates and food process them with the vinegars. Set the dates aside. Peel and dice the onion and food process it with the water and tomato paste. Add it to the dates and add the remaining spices. Add to the crockpot with ribs and cook on high 5 to 6 hours spooning sauce over meat every hour or two if possible. If you can make extra sauce it freezes well.
